Oakland County works to ensure access to quality affordable health care, including mental health services, to improve health outcomes for all residents.

The following indicators are some ways to measure progress toward our goal:

Protect Babies in Their First Year of Life
As measured by the county’s infant mortality rate

Increase Access to Health Care

As measured by the percentage of residents reporting that they had no access to health care due to cost.

Improve the Mental Health of the Community

As measured by the percentage of young people who felt sad or hopeless in given time period

Increase Access to Home Health Care Services

As measured by the annual enrollment of older adults with a disability in essential home care programs
