Improve Minority Business Development

As measured by the number of minority/women/veteran-owned companies in the county

Why Is This Important?

When all businesses thrive, Oakland County thrives. The opportunity to access capital and create new small businesses must be available to all entrepreneurs including minority business owners.

Metric Definition

The BTS is a no-cost, online software resource designed to support companies interested in government contracting identify and prioritize federal contracts. It matches businesses with top bidding opportunities and saves companies time and money as they pursue federal bids. The software provides company classifications such as minority, woman, and disabled veteran owned – with business ownership defined as having more than 50% of equity in a business.
